

Masterpiece Manjushree Statue
This is a marvellous hand-carved statue of Manjushri sculpted by one of our proficient craftsmen of Nepal.
The statue of Manjushri is holding the flaming sword in his right hand symbolising the ability to slay through the evil power. On the other hand, he holds sacred lotus which bears the perfection of wisdom teachings text or book (Prajnaparamita Sutra).
Manjushree is also known as the "god of divine wisdom" also famous as the creator of Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. As the legend goes he was a chines saint and his intitution told him of the blue flame (symbolizing Swayambhu) on a lotus in the big lake of Nepal. He went thereto offer worship, but could not reach because of the water. He cut the southern wall of the hills with his sword and the water of the lake drained to the south. The dry valley became the Kathmandu Valley. He carries the sword of wisdom and light in his right hand and prajnaparmita manuscript " the book of divine wisdom on his left on the lotus blossom as carved in this statue.
