Replica of traditional ganesh kumar window

This is a miniature replica of doors in traditional Newari houses in Kathmandu Valley along with some modifications to give it the look of a window. It is carved by one of our proficient wood carvers who carve the original traditional wooden doors. This is hand carved with utter precision accumulating each and every minute detail.

This door comprises of different elements representing rich traditional art and culture such as the harmony of religions where Newari citizens worship both Buddhist and Hindu god.  two doors are carved with Ganesh and Kumar along with the Kalasha (auspicious vessel), while the toran (free standing archway placed over the door) is carved with Buddha surrounded by Chhepu devouring snake on the top and the Hittimanga on the two sides of Buddha. The door sill is carved with lions on two sides and flower pattern in the middle. Whereas, the door jamb is carved with traditional pillar designs.

This can be an ideal decoration for your room, an unique piece of traditional Newari art for your room.
